Monday will be our first “Movie Night” at the Red River Kart Club! We’ll be showing the documentary, Racing Dreams.
“Follow three young racers as they compete in the World Karting Association’s National Pavement Series. Clocking speeds up to 70 mph, these kids chase the National Championship title and take one step closer toward their dream of someday racing in the big show… NASCAR.”
The movie will start immediately following the last feature of the night. The screen will be setup on the east side of the pits. For those teams that park in the field to the east, we ask that after the races, please relocate to the north or south side of the pits to allow for cars to park and watch. The audio from the movie will be available on an FM station – to be announced. Pizza will be served and a sign-in sheet will be at the pit sign-in shed to get an accurate count for food. We’ll keep the night’s racing program moving along and will start early if possible. So please be ready.
With only 2 weeks left in the season, here are a few notes:
– The draw cutoff is 6:15pm. If you’re unable to make it in time, call/text ahead and we’ll draw for you. Text your kart # and class to 701-261-3673. If you miss the draw cutoff time and don’t call ahead, you’ll be lined-up tail end for both heats. It’s important to have a cutoff time to make sure line-ups are ready by 6:30pm because it delayed the start of the races last Monday.
– If you have any Go-Pro video from this season that you’d like to submit for our year-end video, please see Scott Sailer with the #76 team or e-mail scott@theracinglife.com. He’ll have a laptop available to download the video clips from your SD card.
– To make sure that you or your team is profiled in our 2014 yearbook, please fill out the yearbook information sheet at the pit sign-in shed. And if you didn’t get your picture taken with Jesse Hanson the past few weeks, we need your picture for the yearbook. Visit with Jesse to get a quick profile picture.
